Miss Buckskin World

Miss Buckskin World contestants must first be crowned queen of their local IBHA charter club. Upon arrival at the World Show they are put to work handing out awards when they are not showing. On opening day they are judged in a horsemanship pattern for the first of two queen's rides. That evening they are again put to work showcasing the items in the YSF scholarship auction. After the auction they participate in an oration where they give a short speech and answer two random questions. Thursday night the Putnam County Convention & Visitors Bureau treated the contestants along with the Queens Committee members to dinner in town. This night is to relax and get to know each other as they are kept busy the next two days. The World Show then ends with the Queen's Ball and the crowning of this year's queen.

I am so privileged to be able to introduce myself as the 2022 Miss Buckskin World. I grew up showing in IBHA and showed heavily as a youth. I have very fond memories and hope to promote the family friendly environment that shaped me into the woman I am today. This color breed association holds a very special place in my heart, and to say I am excited to represent IBHA is an understatement!

I primarily show at ISBA, but have shown at almost every active charter. I am 24 years old and a junior in nursing school at Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis. I currently work as a patient care technician for IU Health Methodist Hospital and as a student nurse extern for Community Health Network.

I am really looking forward to the 2023 show season! My goals for IBHA are to promote our association, grow our Buckskin Bred classes, and facilitate youth engagement as a positive role model. Good luck to all 2023 exhibitors!

Best regards,
Isabel Dailidonis
