The Youth
Scholarship Fund of IBHA was founded in 1987 as a separate not for
profit corporation to aid in the
continued education of IBHA Youth. An auction is held twice
annually in conjunction with the IBHA Convention and IBHA World
Show to raise funds. Past auctions have included personal
appearances by Sonny Shroyer ("Enos"), Christina Paine ("Resistol"
spokesmodel) and Mike Moroff ("LaBomba" and "Robocop" to name a
few). If you would like to contribute to the Youth Scholarship

2011 IBHA SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED
The Scholarship Auction held at the 2011 IBHA
Convention was a success. With
all the donated items and donations from individuals and charter
clubs we brought in over $3500.00. The scholarship committee
awarded 2 new scholarships to Katherine Maxwell, IA and Garrick
Olsen, MO for $800.00 each.
The renewals were Cody McConnell, In, Raquel
Novotny, Wi, Cory Grandstaff, Oh, Carly Kidner, Oh, Taylor
Boardman, Wi, And Lynsey Madison, Wi, all receiving $800.00 a
piece.
Tim Conlin, our auctioneer, did a great job
getting bids for all the items. We need to keep up the good work
to insure that the scholarship recipients can be supported.

Although the 2011 Scholarship Auction held at the IBHA World Show
was small in quantity, the exhibitors came through with generous
bids reaching almost $3000.00.

see by the picture they really gave it their all!
In addition to
the scholarship auctions, the Youth Scholarship Fund of IBHA is
currently selling "the Buckskin" by Orren Mixer
Commissioned
in 1996 and completed in 1998, “The Buckskin” was unveiled at the
1998 IBHA World Championship Show. The painting depicts 19 horses.
The buckskin stallion and his band of 9 mares and 9 foals reveal
the various shades of the buckskin, dun, red dun and grulla horses
accepted for IBHA registration. The limited edition of 100 artist
remarques were sold at the unveiling of the painting and are now
only available from private individuals. There are some of the 400
numbered and autographed prints (22”X28”) available from IBHA (see
form below) and from the AQHA Heritage Center and Museum in
Amarillo. The original painting can be viewed at the AQHA Heritage
Center where it is on display as a loan from the scholarship fund.

been awarded to IBHA youth. Scholarships are given through the
Youth Scholarship Fund of IBHA, Inc. The separate NOT FOR PROFIT
